کراچی:- ( ) ترجمان واٹر کارپوریشن نے میڈیا پر چلنے والی خبروں پر وضاحت پیش کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ شہر میں پینے کے پانی سے پہلنے والے امراض سے بچاؤ کے لیے پاکستان کونسل آف ریسرچ ان واٹر ریسورسز (پی سی آر ڈبلیو آر) کی ہدایت اور یونیسف کے تعاون سے واٹر کارپوریشن سترہ مختلف پمپنگ اسٹیشنوں سے پانی میں سوڈیم ہائپوکلورائٹ شامل کر رہا ہے تاکہ ہیضہ سمیت دیگر امراض سے شہریوں کو محفوظ رکھا جائے، ترجمان نے بتایا کہ سوڈیم ہائپوکلورائٹ پاکستان کا معروف ادارہ مہیا کر رہا ہے، اس کے علاؤہ شہریوں کو فراہم کیے جانے والے پانی میں عالمی ادارہ صحت کے مقررہ کردہ معیار و مقدار کے مطابق واٹر کارپوریشن پانی میں کلورین کی مطلوبہ مقدار شامل کرتا ہے جبکہ واٹر کارپوریشن کے تمام سرکاری ہائیڈرنٹس سیل سے فراہم کیے جانے والے پانی میں بھی کلورین شامل کرنے کے عمل کو یقینی بنایا گیا ہے اور لیب یونٹ اسٹاف واٹر کارپوریشن تمام لیب سمیت شہر کے مختلف علاقوں میں پانی میں کلورین کی مقدار باقاعدہ چیک کرتا ہے، انکا کہنا تھا کہ واٹر کارپوریشن محکمہ صحت سمیت حکومت سندھ کے دیگر متعلقہ محکموں کے ساتھ مل کر ہیضہ سمیت نیگلیریا اور دیگر امرض کی روک تھام کے لیے دن رات کام رہا ہے، اس کے علاؤہ چیف کیمسٹ واٹر کارپوریشن نے تصدیق کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ اس منصوبے کے تمام اخراجات یونیسیف برداشت کر رہا ہے اور پی سی آر ڈبلیو آر اس منصوبے کی سرگرمیوں کی نگرانی واٹر کارپوریشن کے ساتھ مل کے کر رہا ہے، ترجمان واٹر کارپوریشن کا مزید کہنا تھا کہ واٹر کارپوریشن منتخب عوامی نمائندوں سمیت شہریوں کو دعوت دیتا ہے کہ وہ تمام فلٹر پلانٹس سمیت مختلف تنصیبات کا کسی بھی وقت دورہ کرکے پانی میں شامل کی جانے والی کلورین دیکھ سکتے ہیں۔

Karachi:- ( ) Spokesperson of the Water Corporation, while explaining the news in the media, has said that in order to prevent diseases caused by drinking water in the city, under the direction of the Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) and with the support of UNICEF, the Water Corporation was adding sodium hypochlorite to the water from seventeen different pumping stations, So that citizens are protected from cholera and other diseases, Spokesman of KW&SC said that the sodium hypochlorite is being provided by a well known organization of Pakistan.
In addition, the Water Corporation adds the required dose of Chlorine to the water supplied to the citizens as per the standards and quantities set by the World Health Organization (WHO), while the process of adding Chlorine to the water supplied from all government hydrants of the Water Corporation has also been ensured and Lab Unit Staff Water Corporation regularly checks the dose of chlorine in water in different areas of the city including all labs.
He said that the Water Corporation along with the Health Department and other relevant departments of the Government of Sindh have been working day and night for the prevention of Nigellaria and other diseases including cholera, further, Chief Chemist Water Corporation confirmed that all the costs of the project are being borne by UNICEF, and PCRWR is monitoring the project activities along with Water Corporation, Spokesperson of the Water Corporation further said that the Water Corporation invites the citizens including the elected public representatives to visit the various installations including all the filter plants at any time to see the chlorine being added to the water.
