کراچی:- ( ) سی ای او واٹر کارپوریشن انجینئر سید صلاح الدین احمد کی زیر صدارت ایم ڈی سیکریٹریٹ کارساز میں ایک اعلیٰ سطحی اجلاس منعقد ہوا، اجلاس میں سی او او واٹر کارپوریشن انجینئر اسداللہ خان، چیف انجینئر واٹر محمد حنیف بلوچ، چیف انجینئر بلک سکندر زرداری سمیت مختلف منتخب عوامی نمائندگان، ٹاؤن چیئرمین اور دیگر اعلیٰ حکام شریک تھے، اجلاس کے موقع پر سی ای او واٹر کارپوریشن انجینئر سید صلاح الدین احمد نے اپنے خیالات کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ کراچی میں بڑہتی ہوئی پانی کی چوری کے سدباب کے سلسلے میں کراچی واٹر اینڈ سیوریج کارپوریشن نے پانی چوروں کے خلاف گرینڈ آپریشن کا اغاز کیا جبکہ کارروائی کے پہلے مرحلے میں غیر قانونی ہائیڈرنٹس مسمار کیے گئے، عوام کو باخبر رکھنے کے لیے آپریشن کی کارروائی پرنٹ اور الیکٹرانک میڈیا کو بروقت فراہم کی گئیں، غیر قانونی ہائیڈرنٹس کے علاؤہ تمام غیر قانونی کنکشنز کے خاتمے کے لیے ایک مربوط پلان مرتب کیا گیا اور فیصلہ گیا کہ تمام ایسے کنیکشنز جن کی قانونی منظوری نہیں ہے ان کو فوری طور پر منقطع کیا جائے گا اس سلسلے کی ایک کڑی ماہ جولائی میں 84 انچ قطر کی لائن پر کیا گیا آپریشن ہے جس میں سے اب تک 81 کنکشن کو بلا تفریق منقطع کیا گیا ہے ان 81 کنکشن میں سے 6 کنکشن نیو کراچی اور 4 کنکشن سرجانی ٹاؤن کے مقام پر منقطع کیے گئے تھے جن کی کارپوریشن کے رکارڈ کے مطابق قانونی منظوری دستیاب نہیں تھی، بعد ازاں عوامی نمائندگان اور متعلقہ ایگزیکٹو انجینئر کی باضابط درخواست کو مدنظر رکھتے ہوئے کارپوریشن نے ایسے تمام کنکشن جو صرف آبادیوں کی طرف جاتے ہیں انہیں پانی کی فراہمی روک کر تین روز میں بحال کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا ہے، اس ضمن میں عوام الناس کو یہ مطلع کیا جاتا ہے کراچی واٹر اینڈ سیوریج کارپوریشن ایک پروفیشنل اداراہ ہے جس کی تمام تر کاروائیاں قانون کے مطابق کی جاتی ہیں اور ایسے علاقے جہاں پانی کی کمی کا سامنا ہو وہاں پر کارپوریشن پانی کی فراہمی کو یقینی بنائے گی، اس کے علاؤہ کارپوریشن یہ بات واضح کر چکا ہے کہ تمام غیر قانونی کنکشن اور ہائیڈرنٹس کے خلاف کی جانے والی کاروائیاں کسی سیاسی دباؤ یا بدنیتی پر مبنی نہیں بلکہ خالصتاً عوام الناس کو پانی کی فراہمی کے لیے کی جارہیں ہیں کیونکہ شہریوں کو فراہمی و نکاسی آب کی بہترین سہولیات فراہم کرنا کارپوریشن کی اولین ترجیحات میں شامل ہے۔

Karachi:- ( ) A high level meeting was held at MD Secretariat Karsaz under the chairmanship of CEO Water Corporation Engineer Syed Sallahuddin Ahmed, COO Water Corporation Engineer Asadullah Khan, Chief Engineer Water Muhammad Hanif Baloch, Chief Engineer Bulk Sikandar Zardari, various elected public representatives, Town Chairman’s and other senior officials participated in the meeting.
On the occasion of the meeting, CEO Water Corporation expressed his views and said that Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation has launched a grand operation against water thieves in relation to the increasing theft of water in Karachi, while in the first phase of the operation, illegal hydrants were demolished.
The proceedings of the operation were provided to the print and electronic media in a timely manner to keep the public informed.
A coordinated plan was formulated to eradicate all illegal connections besides illegal hydrants and it was decided that all such connections, which do not have legal approval, will be disconnected immediately, a link in this series is the operation done on the 84 inch diameter line in the month of July, out of which 81 connections have been terminated indiscriminately so far, out of these 81 connections, 6 connections were disconnected at New Karachi and 4 connections at Sarjani Town, as per the records of the corporation, legal approval was not available, Later, taking into account the formal request of the public representatives and the concerned Executive Engineer, the Corporation has decided to stop the water supply and restore it within three days to all the connections leading only to the population.
In this context, the public is informed that Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation is a professional department, all the operations of which are done according to the law, and the Corporation will ensure water supply in areas where there is water shortage.
Further, the Corporation has made it clear that all actions taken against illegal connections and hydrants are not based on any political pressure or malice, but purely for the purpose of providing water to the public, because providing the best water supply and drainage facilities to the citizens is one of the top priorities of the corporation.
